Hayley Vandenberg PA joins Urology Austin and Dr. Osterberg

Hayley grew up in South Florida, where she was introduced to medicine early on, inspired by several family members who pursued careers in the field. In 2013, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a focus on Public Health from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Hayley continued her education at the University of Florida’s Physician Assistant (PA) program and later began her career in urology at the University of Florida Shands Hospital. There, she balanced practicing in the clinic with assisting in minimally invasive urologic surgeries, including robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic procedures.

In 2019, Hayley moved to New York City to join Cornell University NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, specializing in urologic surgery. During her time in New York, she met her now-husband and later relocated to Los Angeles to be closer to him. In Los Angeles, she served as a senior physician assistant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she joined the department of urology. There, her practice focused on urologic oncology. She continued to assist in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgeries, as well as providing clinical support and educational training for junior advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and medical assistants.

Hayley is passionate about the field of urology for its diversity of medicine, allowing her to address both critical medical needs and improve the quality of life of patients. She is thrilled to join Urology Austin, where she collaborates with Dr. Charles Osterberg in reconstructive urology, a specialty she deeply values.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys playing beach volleyball, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and doting on her 10-pound, blonde, long-haired dachshund, Sandy
