For Urologist Dr. E. Charles Osterberg, Patients Come First

Corpus Christi Urologist Specializes in Reconstructive Urology and Robotic Surgery

Having trained with the pioneers in the field of robotic surgery, Dr. E. Charles Osterberg treats Corpus Christi, Texas-area patients needing complex urologic reconstruction. For Dr. Osterberg, the decision to specialize in the field of urology was a personal one. After his father was diagnosed with both bladder and prostate cancers at an early age, Dr. Osterberg saw the impact that this cancer diagnosis had on his family. He knew at that moment that he wanted to dedicate his life’s work to helping others in the same situation.

“Helping patients with their cancer diagnosis or other reconstruction problems is very important to me,” he says. “When I can get a patient back to where they were prior to their cancer diagnosis, or prior to their injury, I can help them regain their quality of life. This to me is extremely rewarding.”

With two offices in Austin, Texas, Dr. Osterberg frequently treats patients from all over the Lone Star State who travel miles to see him. An expert in the urology field, Dr. Osterberg treats Corpus Christi patients for such conditions as urologic reconstruction, urethral stricture, male stress incontinence, Peyronie’s Disease, urinary fistula, and erectile dysfunction.

In addition to becoming the first fellowship trained male reconstructive urologist in central Texas to focus exclusively on male urethral stricture disease, Dr. Osterberg has written over 70 peer-reviewed publications, as well as a number of textbook chapters. An expert reviewer for the Journal of Urology, Dr. Osterberg is a Diplomat on the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
